During that time, the Indian automaker had stated that a new small car to replace the Maruti will be rolled out in the Indian market soon - hinting at the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Cervo small car. It was back in , when Maruti Suzuki officials has commented that the company is considering the possibility of launching the Cervo in the Indian market to compete in the small car segment.
However, post that no official movement have been made by the company in the said matter. Though design resembles Tata Nano but Cervo is miles ahead in looks and definitely gets a more upmarket appeal. The headlamps look beautiful with their curves and are quite striking. There is a rectangular radiator grille with chrome accents, with the company emblem lying at its centre. The body-colored bumper and side mirrors further accentuate the overall appeal of the car.
The rear profile is highlighted with beautiful tail lamps which intrude nicely into the boot lid. The seats are supportive and there is good room for all passengers.
AC does a fine job of keeping the cabin cool. The instrument cluster is simple to read and offers basic informations. Music system is expected to be offered as optional feature. Boot space is decent for a car of this size. Some of the expected key features include air-conditioner, power windows, remote central locking, height adjustable driver seat manual , remote boot opening etc.

Indians expected Cervo to compete against the Nano and Maruti Suzuki could have sensed a loss if they sold Cervo in the expected price range. On the other hand, people would not buy Cervo for a higher price because of its small engine capacity.
